Small Grant Request:
- Annual Small Grants funding of USD 60,000 for 5-year initial period = USD 300,000
- Allocation of USD 15,000 per country (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda)
- One – Two competitive research proposals per country annually, each at KES 1 million (USD 7,500)
- Emphasis on original and novel topics relevant to the African context
Large Grant Funding Request
- Funding Request: One Large Grant
- Amount: USD 200,000
- Project Duration: 5 years
- Project Type: Multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional consortium
- Participation: Involves faculty members from various universities across East Africa
Expectations:
- Critical thinking on research problems related to Intelligent Design in Africa
Proposal Timeline (Small Grant):
- Call for proposals: 2nd July 2025 for Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda & Rwanda
- Deadline for submission: 2nd September 2025
- Funding commencement: 1st November 2025

Eligibility for funding:
Applicants:
- Applicant must be a resident of East Africa
- The Principal Investigator must have taken the International Summer Seminar or Africa Focused Seminar in Intelligent Design offered by Discovery Institute
- The Principal Investigator must be a member of BioCosmos Foundation but is allowed to bring onboard renowned scientists with unique expertise
- The Principal Investigator must be ready to support BioCosmos Foundation activities in their countries of resident
